My name is Taylor D. Quick-Smith, LCSW, I am a proud Delaware resident, wife, and mother of two. With over a decade of experience in mental health care, I bring a unique blend of expertise as a drug and alcohol counselor, registered nurse and a licensed clinical social worker. My professional journey has been deeply shaped by my faith in Jesus, who has transformed my life and inspired my mission to serve others. At Resulting Peace Counseling LLC, our mission is to empower individuals and families by providing compassionate guidance through the complexities of the mental health system. We are dedicated to ensuring access to personalized care, fostering understanding, and creating pathways to healing and peace. Our specialty is trauma based therapy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

As your therapist, I’m not afraid to have the hard conversations or ask the direct questions that others may avoid. I’m here to create a safe space where you can be honest, vulnerable, and truly seen. Come to our first session ready to bring your truth and be ready to do the work. Healing starts with honesty, and I’ll be right there with you every step of the way.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Get ready to hit the ground running. From our very first session, we’ll begin exploring patterns, completing a comprehensive assessment of your mental health history, and getting to the root of the challenges you’re facing. We’ll identify what brought you to therapy, talk honestly about where you are now, and begin setting specific goals for where you want to go. I’ll ask the questions that matter, challenge you when needed, and help you uncover the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Come ready to be honest, open, and willing to do the work. Your healing starts now!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

An ideal client is someone who is ready and willing to openly discuss the experiences, concerns, and challenges that brought them to therapy. Therapy is a safe space where even the most sensitive topics can be explored with care, compassion, and without judgment. I encourage you to be honest and bring your whole truth to the table because the more open and transparent we can be, the better we can understand what you’re experiencing and develop an effective treatment plan that truly fits your needs. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to start.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use Cognitive Processing Therapy to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs related to trauma. Together, we work to process difficult experiences, develop healthier ways of thinking, and reduce the emotional impact of trauma.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. I help clients explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and identify their own strengths and capacity for growth.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings about change without judgment or pressure. Through collaborative conversations, I help clients identify their own motivations, strengthen confidence, and develop achievable goals.

Christian Counseling

When desired by the client, I integrate Christian faith and biblical principles into therapy while respecting each person’s beliefs and values. I provide a compassionate space to explore faith, purpose, identity, and life challenges without requiring clients to share my faith.

Psychodynamic

I use a psychodynamic approach to help clients explore how past experiences, relationships, emotions, and unconscious patterns may influence their thoughts and behaviors today. Together, we work toward greater insight, self-awareness, and healthier patterns of relating.
