New to Grow
As a veteran, therapist, and human being I resonate deeply with the archetype of the “wounded healer". I understand trauma and the seriousness of life's challenges not just clinically, but personally. I am assured in my professional capacity that I can provide you with the high level of care and support that you deserve; all while making therapy not feel so clinical or cold.
Your first session will be an intake session and honestly, it'll have a little bit of paper work involved... but I'll try my best to make it a somewhat normal conversation. You can tell me about yourself, what your life has been like up until this point, maybe even what you want to accomplish with our time together. If you simply need me to listen, I got you. If you need me to have an open conversation with you, human-to-human, we can do that too. I want you to know that I am here for you! After that, we can make therapy what you need it to be.
My approach to therapy is extremely client-centered, meaning you and your needs are always my number one priority. I also like to use elements of existential philosophy, exploration of the deeper meanings of our experiences, and solution-focused support to help each unique individual navigate their distinctive challenges. Moreover, I confidently provide trauma-informed care, often aided by EMDR, to those who are ready to address trauma in a direct and intentional manner.
I am highly motivated to engage on trauma-informed care with anyone who is ready; trauma doesn't discriminate, nor do I. With that said, I have an especially strong affinity for working with fellow veterans, active duty, first responder, and men's mental health issues. I am also passionate about helping people navigate various life stressors, transitions, relationship issues, depression , anxiety, and even addiction recovery efforts.
