I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Vermont. I have my LICSW and practiced social work in Vermont with children and their families for over five years. Since 2000, I have practiced in Massachusetts. I love to help people manage crises as well as focus on issues affecting women and older adults such as grief and aging.
In our first session, we will begin by developing rapport. Then, after you identify your goals, we will develop a plan to address the challenges you are experiencing during our following sessions.
My strengths are that I have worked with a variety of clients of varying ages with many issues. I am not afraid to address difficult issues with compassion and honesty.
I have worked with all age groups, but I especially enjoy working with adults who are experiencing grief or are in crisis as well as older adults who are experiencing transitional issues.
I have been using CBT in my practice for over 10 years. It is a highly effective tool to address a variety of issues. Together, we will explore how our thoughts, emotions, and behavior are all connected and how what we do and think affects our feelings.
