New to Grow
I am a bilingual Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual outpatient therapy for multicultural populations. I help clients navigate complex issues related to identity formation, interpersonal relationships, low self-esteem, and daily functional struggles. A core part of my practice is providing critical support to clients in integrating psychedelic experiences, offering intentional, non-judgmental guidance to safely assimilate powerful insights and promote authentic healing. My comprehensive therapeutic approach is firmly rooted in harm reduction principles, a dedication to social justice, and culturally informed care. I practice Ecotherapy, using nature as a co-therapist in sessions conducted walking on greenways. This approach leverages the human-nature bond to foster grounding and insight. My methodology employs a solutions-focused, harm-reduction, strengths-based approach, utilizing Narrative Therapy, IFS, and Person-Centered techniques for profound change. I am committed to providing a supportive and compassionate environment where your unique life story is honored. My goal is to help you move beyond obstacles, integrate difficult experiences, and thrive. I believe you deserve to feel safe, seen, and empowered.
In our first session, we will collaboratively explore your unique life story and goals within a compassionate, person-centered environment during a mindful walk on the greenway. You can expect practical feedback and a supportive space designed to honor your life journey.
My approach stands out through its "walk and talk" format, which moves therapy out of the traditional office and onto the local greenway to integrate the mindfulness of nature and physical movement into our work.
I am best positioned to serve multicultural individuals and those navigating complex questions of identity, relationships, or the integration of trans-personal experiences. My practice is ideal for clients who value a solution-focused, harm-reduction approach that prioritizes meeting them exactly where they are in their worldview. Additionally, I serve those looking for a novel therapeutic experience that incorporates movement and the mindfulness of nature through outdoor walking sessions
Strength-Based
Strengths-based therapy is a positive, collaborative, and empowering counseling approach that focuses on an individual's inherent strengths, resilience, and resources rather than solely on their deficits or problems
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that views the mind as composed of multiple "parts" (sub-personalities) guided by a compassionate core "Self". By fostering "Self-leadership," individuals learn to unblend, understand, and heal wounded parts, reducing internal conflict and promoting mental harmony
Transpersonal
Transpersonal therapy is a holistic, spiritually-informed approach to psychology that explores the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit to promote personal growth and transformation. It goes beyond the individual ego to address spiritual, mystical, or transcendent experiences, helping clients find deeper meaning and self-awareness beyond traditional clinical perspectives
Multicultural
Multicultural therapy is a counseling approach that acknowledges and integrates a client’s cultural background—including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and religion—into the treatment process. It aims to create a safe, respectful environment, addressing how cultural factors, discrimination, or social dynamics influence mental health, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach
Narrative
Narrative therapy is a respectful, non-blaming approach to counseling that centers people as experts in their own lives, separating individuals from their problems. It focuses on re-authoring life stories by identifying strengths and values, helping clients challenge and rewrite damaging "narratives"
