I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 26 years of clinical experience in an array of clinical settings in both private and public sectors such as psychiatric hospitals, out-patient clinics, corrections, residential treatment, school-based, and in-home, and primarily now in private practice. You name it, I've probably worked there which provides me with the ability to “meet clients where they are” and support them through their journey of recovery and wellness. My communication style is person-centered and grounded in compassion. I value the diversity and unique experience that each person brings to therapy. I seek to establish a warm and caring relationship with you to assist in building on your strengths, meeting your goals, and living the meaningful life you value and desire.
We’ll begin the therapeutic process by assessing your clinical needs and identifying strengths and assets that will support you to achieve your treatment goals. We’ll get to know each other and discuss your expectations for the counseling process.
I work primarily with adults and adolescents incorporating different treatment modalities to meet the needs of the client. My clinical focus on helping individuals, couples, and families build on their strengths, while assisting them in learning skills to improve the areas they want to work on.
I love working with people who are motivated to get their lives back on track. My clients are eager to improve, but either don't yet have the tools needed OR those who need new tools to make this goal a reality.
I use an integrative approach of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Cognitive Processing (CPT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Motivational Interviewing.
