I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Tennessee. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. I have worked in all types of settings, such as intensive in-home, outpatient, and inpatient. I have expertise in women’s issues, perinatal mental health care, anxiety and depression. My knowledge and experience in these settings makes me qualified to assist you in these areas.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My client's can expect empathy, safety, solid communication, and to be heard from the first session until the last.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

First, I would have to say is being a team player. From the moment a client enters into therapy, we are a team working together to reach their goals. Second, I am a good a listener. Through my strong listening skills, I help my clients to gain insight into themselves and others. Finally, I am friendly, which helps to foster comfort and connection in therapy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with my clients for 6 years. This evidenced based approach is effective with individuals that struggle with depression and anxious symptoms. Through examining thoughts, feelings, and behaviors together, we will learn how to change negative thinking patterns and behaviors to decrease those symptoms.
