Provide virtual therapy to support individuals in navigating their mental health journey through talk therapy, homework and follow up. Engage clients by building rapport and utilizing evidenced-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, CBT as well as other strategies. Work with children, adolescents, and young adults and well as provide family therapy to support client progress.
The first session focuses on getting to know each other. I want to know about your concerns and struggles so that we can develop goals and a plan for therapy. You will complete some assessments to help me get a clear picture of what symptoms are occurring in your life. At the same time, you are getting to know my style and how I interact with you.
My strengths go beyond just listening as I am able to see patterns and provide input on ways to change negative patterns while also building on positive patterns.
I work well with clients who are willing to talk, explore options and work toward progress. Specifically, working with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, career decision-making and life goals. We will work on developing the skills so that you will feel confident that you are making progress in your journey. The ideal client wants to be in session, not because somebody told them that they had to be there.
Understanding how traumatic experiences (one event, ongoing or intergenerational) can affect how you think, feel and behave in every day life.
Knowing that you have tools that you have used in the past that allow you to cope with stressors. You are able to draw from those successes to overcome other disturbances.
