New to Grow
I believe healing begins when we stop living by old stories, limiting beliefs, and expectations that no longer fit who we are. Therapy is an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, challenge patterns that keep you stuck, and intentionally build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, self-worth, relationship challenges, stress, and life transitions. My approach is real, collaborative, and genuine, balancing compassion with accountability. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop practical tools for lasting change. I integrate evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring treatment to your unique needs and goals. Whether you're learning to manage overwhelming emotions, heal from past experiences, or build healthier relationships, my goal is to help you gain the confidence and skills to move forward with greater clarity, authenticity, and purpose.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've never done it before—or if you've had an experience that left you feeling unheard or misunderstood. My goal is to make your first session feel less like an interview and more like the beginning of a conversation. This is your opportunity to tell your story, but there is no pressure to share everything all at once. We'll explore what brought you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, and what you hope life could look like if things felt different. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply ready for change, we'll meet you where you are. I believe therapy is most effective when it's collaborative. You're the expert on your life, and my role is to help you understand the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be influencing how you think, feel, and respond today. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we'll begin identifying the underlying factors that may be keeping you stuck while creating a roadmap toward meaningful, lasting change. You can also expect me to ask questions—not because there are "right" answers, but because curiosity creates insight. Some questions may help us explore your past, while others focus on your current relationships, strengths, values, and goals. We move at a pace that feels safe while still encouraging growth. I don't believe therapy is about analyzing you—it's about understanding you. My style is authentic, collaborative, and conversational. I'll ask thoughtful questions, celebrate your progress, and gently challenge the beliefs or patterns that may no longer be serving you. Together, we'll build practical skills while creating space for insight, growth, and lasting change. I believe lasting change begins with understanding. Before we can build healthier habits, stronger relationships, or greater confidence, we first have to understand the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shaped us. Therapy is a place to question what no longer serves you—not because something is wrong with you, but because you deserve the opportunity to intentionally choose what comes next. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you'll leave with a better understanding of what we're working toward, a sense of hope for what's possible, and the reassurance that you don't have to figure it all out alone. Healing isn't about becoming someone different—it's about reconnecting with the person you've always been beneath the stress, fear, expectations, or exper
I believe the best therapy goes beyond symptom management. While learning coping skills is important, lasting change comes from understanding the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shape how we think, feel, and respond. My goal is to help you not only feel better but better understand yourself so you can move through life with greater confidence, resilience, and intention. Growth doesn't happen in our comfort zone and more often than not, we are not trying to eliminate stressors or challenges, we are trying to build self-trust and confidence around our own ability to manage those things. I approach therapy with authenticity, curiosity, and the belief that meaningful growth happens when compassion and accountability work together. I'm not the therapist who quietly nods through the entire session, nor am I someone who tells you how to live your life. Instead, I strive to balance creating space for your experiences with gently challenging the beliefs and patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I like to take an active role in the therapeutic process. I'll ask thoughtful questions, offer observations, celebrate your progress, and encourage you to approach yourself with curiosity rather than criticism. What also shapes my work is my own belief that growth is lifelong. Through my personal experiences navigating life's challenges, prioritizing my own mental health, and embracing continuous personal growth—as well as the unique perspective I've gained as a wife and military spouse—I understand that change is rarely straightforward. I've experienced the uncertainty, stress, transitions, and resilience that come with building a life through change, and I know how difficult growth can feel when you're trying to carry it alone. That perspective allows me to meet clients with empathy, authenticity, and the confidence that meaningful change is possible, even when it doesn't feel that way. Clients often tell me they appreciate having both a place to process difficult emotions and practical tools they can use between sessions. I want therapy to extend beyond our time together, helping you build skills and confidence that support lasting growth in your everyday life. I am also someone who takes feedback very seriously. I start every session with "you do not have to worry about offending me," because therapy is about YOU, not my skills or my expectations. If something isn't working or feels inauthentic, I want to know and I want our therapeutic relationship to be b
I work best with clients who are ready to question the stories they've been living by. They've spent years meeting expectations, putting others first, striving for perfection, or simply surviving life's challenges. Now they're ready to understand why they think, feel, and respond the way they do—not because they believe something is "wrong" with them, but because they're ready to create something different. My ideal clients are curious, motivated, and willing to do the deeper work. They value insight as much as action and want more than temporary relief—they want lasting change. Together, we'll identify the patterns that no longer serve you, develop practical skills for navigating life's challenges, and intentionally build a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with who you truly are.
I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, challenge beliefs that no longer serve them, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.
I use DBT to help clients respond to life's challenges rather than simply react to them. By building practical skills for emotional regulation, communication, and resilience, you'll learn to navigate difficult situations with greater clarity and confidence.
I use IFS to help clients better understand the different parts of themselves that show up in everyday life, such as the inner critic, people-pleaser, or protector. Rather than fighting these parts, we explore them with curiosity to promote healing, self-compassion, and lasting change.
Sometimes our bodies notice stress before our minds do. Somatic therapy helps you become more aware of physical sensations, calm your nervous system, and develop tools to feel more grounded, present, and connected.
