New to Grow
I am a warm, kind, and genuine therapist who is deeply committed to walking alongside my clients in their journey toward healing and growth. My approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and a strong dedication to creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen and heard. As a Christian, I offer a faith-based perspective for those who desire to incorporate their beliefs into the therapeutic process. I am passionate about helping individuals find hope, clarity, and lasting change. I consider it a privilege to support my clients every step of the way.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, welcoming environment where we begin getting to know one another. I will take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you hope to gain from our work together. Building a strong, trusting relationship is very important to me, so much of this time will focus on creating comfort and connection. You will be met with unconditional positive regard, compassion, and a nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and reassured that healing and growth are possible.
My approach to therapy is holistic and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I utilize a systems perspective, recognizing how relationships, environment, and life experiences shape who we are. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, along with solution-focused techniques to build on your strengths and create meaningful, forward-moving change. I often integrate art therapy and creative expression as a way to process emotions in a deeper, more accessible way. Throughout our work together, I focus on helping you develop healthy coping strategies and equipping you with practical tools you can use in everyday life. My goal is to empower you with the skills, insight, and confidence needed to navigate challenges and experience lasting growth.
I work best with clients who are motivated to create meaningful change in their lives and are open to engaging in the therapeutic process. I value working with individuals who are willing to actively participate in sessions, reflect on their experiences, and implement suggested interventions outside of therapy to support their growth. I am especially well-suited to support clients who are seeking a genuine, supportive presence as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether facing stress, transitions, emotional struggles, or a desire for personal or spiritual growth, I strive to provide a steady, compassionate environment where clients feel heard, understood, and encouraged. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, partnering with clients who are ready to take steps—both big and small—toward healing, increased self-awareness, and lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I am a therapist with experience providing evidence-based treatment using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) across a range of presenting concerns. My work focuses on helping clients identify and understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop practical strategies for creating meaningful change. I have utilized CBT interventions to support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions, tailoring each approach to meet the unique needs and goals of the client.
Christian Counseling
I integrate Christian counseling into my practice by thoughtfully incorporating faith-based principles alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches. For clients who desire it, I create space to explore their relationship with God as part of the healing process, drawing on biblical truths, prayer, and spiritual reflection to support emotional and psychological growth. I approach Christian counseling with respect and sensitivity, allowing each client to guide how their faith is included in sessions. This may involve using scripture to reframe negative thought patterns, encouraging spiritual disciplines such as prayer or meditation, and exploring themes of grace, forgiveness, purpose, and identity. My goal is to help clients align their beliefs, values, and behaviors in a way that fosters both spiritual and emotional well-being. I strive to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their struggles, deepen their faith, and find hope and meaning.
