Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and Arizona. I have received my Masters degree and currently working towards my Doctorate of Education with an emphasis in Traumatology from Liberty University. I have been practicing for 6 years. I help children, teens, and adults heal from traumatic experiences as well as developing healthy ways to manage emotional wellbeing and daily life stressors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a broad range of clients in the past 6 years, I have developed the strength of building rapport and identifying natural strengths to support clients in managing symptoms and moving forward with their goals.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Humanistic approach that empowers client to identify their own solutions and reinforce innate strengths.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is used to support clients in managing and reducing the intensity of strong emotions. Clints use practical skills and strategies that can be implemented independently to improve emotional-regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.

EMDR

EMDR incorporated bilateral stimulation via visual, tactile, or auditory stimulation. EMDR is most commonly used to treat C-PTSD and PTSD. Clients can experience relief in symptoms rapidly through EMDR.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT focuses on thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that can lead to a broad range of mental health symptoms. CBT helps clients learn to challenge their ways of thinking and behaving that negatively impact their overall well-being.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is used to treat PTSD and C-PTSD and focuses on developing a trauma narrative to identify how the trauma(s) have impacted current well-being. CPT is a cognitive behavioral model that focuses on identifying "stuck points" in trauma narratives that prevent the client from healing. Harmful beliefs are also explored, challenged, and restructured.
