Pamela Lewis
I believe that people are more than the challenges they face, and that individuals have resiliency that they may not yet realize. It is my conviction that therapy should be a safe place based on trust, and which creates a space for positive change. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, communication, depression, relational issues, school challenges, and struggles with self-esteem. My approach is strength based and non-judgmental. I would be happy to join you during your challenging times and provide the support you are looking for while you discover your strengths. I utilize a combined Cognitive Behavioral, Client Centered, Solution-Focused, and Narrative approach that includes mindfulness and a change in perspective. My goal is to establish a collaborative learning environment that fosters healing, personal growth, new ways of thinking, and strengthens problem solving-skills. We will work together to uncover your unique strengths and develop strategies which enable you to create the change you are seeking. It would be a privilege to support you in your journey to wellness.
First session
Our first session will be an opportunity for me to learn about you including what brings you to therapy at this time and what you'd like to accomplish. It is also a time for you to ask me any questions you may have.
Strengths
I believe my strengths as a therapist include unconditional positive regard for the client and what the client brings to therapy, meeting each client where he or she is, and helping each person to feel empowered to face challenges with strength and confidence.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to make a positive change in their lives and who may be experiencing anxiety, self-esteem challenges, ADHD, grief, and life transitions.
