First session
During our first session, we will complete a comprehensive history. I’ll ask about your current symptoms, past mental health treatment, medical history, medications, family history, and important life experiences. We’ll spend time discussing what brings you in now and what you’re hoping will improve. Understanding your reasons for seeking care helps guide our work together. We will talk about your goals for treatment—whether that’s feeling less anxious, improving mood, strengthening relationships, improving focus, or simply feeling more like yourself. At the end of the session, I’ll share my initial impressions and discuss possible treatment options, which may include therapy, medication, or both.
