Hi, I'm Tom. I help clients navigate life transitions, relationships, and emotional challenges with a practical, down-to-earth approach. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about your next steps, I provide a supportive space where you can gain insight, develop new perspectives, and create meaningful change. Therapy with me isn’t about passive listening or generic advice—I believe in real conversations that help you understand patterns, challenge unhelpful thinking, and build practical strategies that work for your life. Many of my clients are navigating major life changes, relationship struggles, or stress that feels difficult to manage alone. My approach is collaborative and straightforward, offering guidance that’s both insightful and actionable. I focus on helping you uncover the root of your challenges while equipping you with the tools to make meaningful progress. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to support growth and change. My goal is to make therapy accessible and useful—whether you're new to it or have tried before but didn’t quite connect with the process. If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here to help.
In your first session, we’ll start with a conversation about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and any patterns you’ve noticed in your life. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—this is a space where you can go at your own pace. We’ll also discuss how I work, what therapy might look like moving forward, and answer any questions you have about the process. My approach is straightforward and collaborative, so we’ll begin identifying key areas to focus on and practical steps that might help. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer idea of how we can work together and what next steps might be helpful for you.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my practical, down-to-earth approach, my ability to create a comfortable and judgment-free space, and my focus on real, actionable change rather than just passive listening. Clients appreciate that I offer direct, honest feedback while also being supportive and approachable. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, and equipped with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges with more confidence and clarity.
I love to serve adults who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and stressors that feel overwhelming or difficult to manage alone. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who may not outwardly appear to be struggling but internally feel stuck, uncertain, or emotionally drained. I enjoy supporting individuals who are adjusting to major life changes, such as career shifts, breakups, parenthood, or personal growth challenges. My clients are often seeking clarity and a greater sense of direction in their personal and professional lives.
By exploring how you connect with others, we can work together to build healthier ways of relating and responding, so you can feel more secure and supported in your relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The idea is that negative or unhelpful thoughts can lead to difficult emotions and actions, and by changing these thoughts, you can improve how you feel and behave. In therapy, we work together to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, replacing them with more balanced and realistic thoughts.
In therapy, I focus on creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your feelings and experiences, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself. The goal is to help you realize your potential, find meaning, and lead a more authentic, fulfilling life.
The goal is to help you build stronger, more positive relationships by understanding and improving your patterns of relating to others.
I use Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to help clients identify and improve relationship patterns that contribute to their mental health struggles. By focusing on communication skills, role transitions, and unresolved conflicts, I guide clients in building healthier, more fulfilling connections. This structured approach helps men navigate life changes, reduce isolation, and develop more effective ways to express their needs and emotions.
