I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 18 years of experience working with families and children with almost 10 years working as a therapist. I have worked with clients who struggle with many different challenges including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, PTSD, substance use, anger management issues, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I also have experience working with veterans and individuals in the field of public safety. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I believe that each of us are individual and unique, you are the expert as to your story and what is best for you. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment therapy, interactive feedback, and mindfulness skills; I also have specialized training in the area of grief and loss, trauma informed therapy, and motivational interviewing. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, we will focus on building a comfortable and safe space where we can connect. This is primarily a time for me to learn more about you as an individual—your unique story, your current challenges, and what brings you to therapy at this moment. Together, we will discuss your background, explore what you hope to accomplish, and begin collaborating on a personalized approach that aligns with your specific needs and goals. It is a relaxed, conversational process where you are entirely in control of what you share.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is deeply rooted in the belief that you are the absolute expert on your own life and story. While I bring professional expertise in mental health, you bring the vital lived experience and understanding of your own situation; together, we work as a collaborative team. To best support you, I utilize a holistic lens, meaning we won't just look at symptoms in isolation. Instead, we will consider how your physical health, relationships, lifestyle, background, and environment all interconnect to impact your well-being. Because no two individuals are alike, I intentionally practice an eclectic approach. Rather than forcing you into a rigid therapeutic box, I flexibly draw from a diverse toolkit—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care—tailoring our strategy specifically to what resonates best with you.
