About me

I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward greater well-being and self-understanding. As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas and Tennessee, I believe in creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel truly heard and understood. My goal is to partner with you, helping you find resilience and uncover strengths as we work together through life’s challenges. Every person’s journey is unique, and I’m committed to offering care that is as individual as you are. You know your life better than anyone, and my role is to walk alongside you, bringing tools, perspective, and genuine support as we work through whatever you're facing. I don't see myself as the expert in the room — you are.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of it, and a bit about your story — but there's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. I also want you to get a feel for whether we're the right fit. The therapeutic relationship matters just as much as the techniques if not more than the therapeutic interventions I bring, so I encourage you to ask me questions too. By the end, we'll have a sense of direction and a starting plan for our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Life can feel overwhelming — whether you're navigating substance use, anxiety, depression, or just feel stuck. If that sounds like you, I'd love to help. I work with adults facing substance abuse and mental health challenges, and I bring years of hands-on experience to our work together. I draw from several evidence-based approaches — including CBT (changing unhelpful thought patterns), DBT (building skills to manage intense emotions), ACT (learning to move forward even when difficult thoughts are present), and polyvagal theory (understanding how your body responds to stress and safety). I'm also trained in Brainspotting, a body-based therapy that helps identify and release stored trauma, and I'm currently completing training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a technique that helps your brain process and heal from difficult experiences. I'm also studying Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the IFS Institute — an approach that helps you understand and work with different parts of yourself. I'm always investing in my growth as a clinician because I believe you deserve a therapist who's just as committed to learning as they are to listening.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have no ideal client. I am a therapist who opens my door to any client in need of support. I am flexible and adjust to my clients. I want to support anyone who is willing to work with me as their therapist. However, I want to focus on providing individual therapy rather than couple or group therapy to support the needs of the individual that can bring the results of therapy to their lives.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate ACT to support various aspects of life such as how happiness is an emotion can only be discovered after knowing emotions. For example, how do you know happiness if you have never experienced sadness? Various motions must be experienced to comprehend what happiness is.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is such an amazing intervention. Many people expect therapy to be someone talking throughout a session but Brainspotting breaks the mold by providing a way for people to process without needing to talk but it doesn't discourage talking either. It's an amazing and unique intervention.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is an intervention I will refer to and explain that helps people challenge their automatic thoughts but there is so much more. Our thoughts affect more than we realize and CBT is our guide to thinking better about ourselves.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is almost like a lifestyle change. There are so many opportunities to change one's lifestyle, similar to CBT, that allows for lifestyle changes.

Polyvagal Therapy

Polyvagal theory is probably my favorite framework to discuss and teach because of its ability to explain a lot of what we go through in life. From here, we can use the other interventions to support positive change in one's life.
