Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2022 and have worked with a wide range of clientele in that time. For the past 3 years I've worked with individuals, couples, families, and crisis unit clientele who are struggling with severe mental health matters. I am a married, millennial, mother of two teens and am a part of the LGBTQIA community.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, you can expect that we will begin our journey through what your life experience has been and make our way to current issues that you may be facing. This journey may bring up some painful memories, and please know that I will endeavor to gently hold space in this safe container for them. We will then establish goals for your therapeutic journey and decide on a set schedule.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have always considered myself to be a guide. I am an empath and believe in soul connections with my clients. We all need someone in our lives who is empathetic, authentic, and willing to provide us the space to grow and flourish in our mental health journey. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your path toward this endeavor.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I find that I tend to be the best fit for young and middle-aged adults, and the LGBTQIA community who are processing life changes, grief, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem concerns. With a background in the performing arts and extensive training in Expressive Arts techniques, I have found that I often work with individuals who identify in these spaces as well.

My treatment methods

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

REBT helps us understand that our thoughts and behaviors are not the only things to be considered when we have an undesirable action. Emotions play a major factor as well, so we will work together to adjust all three for healthier outcomes.

Experiential Therapy

With a background in the performing arts, as well as having nine months of training completed, we will periodically lean into Expressive Arts Therapy techniques when appropriate. These techniques aid in our processing of emotions, trauma, grief, and our inner critic, among other things, and help to foster clarity when needed.

Psychodynamic

One of the things we will uncover in our time together are the moments in your childhood or young life that knowingly or unknowingly shaped your view of yourself or the world around you in an unhealthy way. Together, we examine those moments and work together to heal them.
