Jill Miller
Hello, my name is Jill Miller. I have been a licensed therapist for 18 years and I specialize in mental health disorders/concerns and substance abuse issues/concerns. I have dedicated my entire career to mental health/substance abuse treatment. I am licensed in Missouri, Ohio, Arizona, Utah, Massachusetts and Maryland. I like to meet my clients where they are and focus on what my client is looking to achieve in therapy and not my own agenda or goals.
First session
The first session is used to gain understanding as to why the client is seeking therapy services, if they have had past therapy experiences, current medications and any other pertinent information that I will need to assist the client reach their goals. I also give the client opportunities to ask me questions so they can also become more acquainted with their therapist.
Strengths
I have 6 years of teletherapy experience and have assisted many clients via telehealth. I meet my clients where they are and always try to make sure that they are comfortable and understand that this is their session and work on their goals.
Ideal clients
I assist/treat client's age 18 years and above. I expect honesty and respect from my client's and will be open and honest in return. I am a mental health and substance abuse therapist; those are my areas of expertise. I work with my clients to form treatment plans, unless the client is already aware of what they want to obtain in therapy services.
