About me

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 12 years of experience providing psychiatric and mental health care. I provide compassionate, comprehensive, and patient-centered care to individuals and families experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. My approach is holistic, considering emotional, physical, and lifestyle factors that may affect overall well-being. I provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, supportive therapy, and individualized treatment planning. In-person appointments are available at my Stuart and Port St. Lucie, Florida, offices, along with convenient telehealth appointments Monday through Saturday. As a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran who served for nearly eight years, I understand many of the unique challenges that may affect military members, Veterans, and their families. I strive to provide a supportive and respectful environment where clients feel heard and actively involved in their treatment. I treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, insomnia, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, and other evidence-based approaches based on each client's individual needs. Pharmacogenomic genetic testing is also available when clinically appropriate. Testing may provide useful information about how genetic differences can influence responses to certain psychiatric medications and can help guide individualized medication decisions. My goal is to work collaboratively with each client to reduce symptoms, improve daily functioning, and enhance overall quality of life through personalized, evidence-based mental health care. Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will begin with a brief introduction and take time to discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, previous treatments, and your goals for care. This comprehensive evaluation will help me better understand your individual needs. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your symptoms, preferences, and overall well-being. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

## What Strengths Do You Bring to Your Sessions? Building a trusting and respectful relationship with my clients is at the heart of my approach to care. I provide a welcoming, professional, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable sharing their concerns and feel heard and respected. I recognize that everyone has a unique story, background, and set of experiences, which is why I believe mental health care should never be one-size-fits-all. I provide individualized, inclusive care to clients of all backgrounds, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, disability, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or Veteran status. With more than 12 years of psychiatric mental health experience, I combine compassion, clinical expertise, and evidence-based treatment while involving clients in decisions about their care. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship and develop a personalized treatment plan that supports each client's needs, goals, and overall quality of life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, mood instability, and difficulties managing daily responsibilities. Many of the clients I work with report feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or struggling to maintain focus and productivity in both personal and professional settings. I also support individuals dealing with sleep disturbances, low motivation, and challenges with emotional regulation. My approach is particularly well-suited for clients who are open to self-reflection and motivated to improve their overall well-being, even if they feel uncertain about where to begin. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, work-related pressures, relationship concerns, and persistent patterns of negative thinking that impact their quality of life. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and develop insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In treatment, I focus on helping clients build effective coping strategies, strengthen emotional resilience, and enhance self-awareness. I aim to empower individuals to better manage stress, improve their ability to function in daily life, and develop healthier patterns that support long-term stability and growth. My goal is to collaborate with clients in a way that promotes meaningful change, increased confidence, and a greater sense of balance in their lives.
