I am a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia. I have earned a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, both from Southern New Hampshire University. I have committed myself to working with a diverse adult population, ranging from 18 to 65 years old. My counseling philosophy is deeply rooted in the principles of acceptance, safety, and non-judgment. I believe in the importance of creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel truly seen and heard. I understand that each individual's journey is unique and make every effort to meet my clients where they are, fostering a space where they can openly identify and understand their concerns without fear of judgment. My approach to therapy is integrative, blending various therapeutic modalities, which I tailor to the individual needs of my clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In their first session with me, clients can expect to experience a safe space where they are heard. I work to understand their narrative and presenting concerns and establish a therapeutic alliance. At the end of the session, I inform clients that I will provide an effective action plan to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are knowing how to convey thoughts, ideas, and feelings effectively which alllows me to establish rapport, provide clear guidance, and foster a therapeutic alliance with clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have spent an extensive amount of time deepening my understanding of CBT for the past 4 years. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used and evidence-based treatment method in counseling that is designed to help individuals understand, challenge, and change their patterns of thinking and behavior that are contributing to their difficulties.

EMDR

Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is used as a structured approach to address trauma and other symptoms by changing the way traumatic memories are stored in the brain, thus reducing and eliminating problematic symptoms. Typically, I will integrated this particular treatment method into a broader treatment plan that includes traditional talk therapy and other modalities, tailored to the individual’s needs. I have been EMDR trained for one year and I am currently working to attain my certification as an EMDR therapist.

Christian Counseling

I believe that is important and beneficial to integrate my clients spirtual beliefs into their sessions. Recognizing and respecting these beliefs can enhance our therapeutic relationship, provide deeper insights into the client's worldview, and enrich counseling outcomes.

Gottman method

The Gottman Method Couples Therapy is a research-based approach designed to help couples improve their relationships. When working with couples, I use the Gottman Method process and interventions that are tailored to the couple's specific needs and progress, emphasizing respect, compassion, and understanding. I have completed Gottman Method training in levels 1 & 2 and I have been implementing the modality for 3 years.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy is a powerful approach for addressing a wide range of psychological issues, particularly those rooted in relational difficulties. I have completed multiple trainings over the past 3 years to expand my knowledge and understanding about the attachment-base principles that I often use in individual, couples, and family therapy.
