New to Grow
I believe therapy should feel supportive, honest, and empowering. My personality is warm, down-to-earth, and direct when needed, and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and safe to show up as their full selves. I bring a balance of compassion, professionalism, and practical problem-solving to my work, helping clients better understand themselves while also developing tools they can use in everyday life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based. I work alongside clients to identify patterns, process life stressors, improve relationships, build healthier boundaries, and strengthen coping skills. I believe that healing often happens when people feel supported enough to be honest with themselves, while also being gently challenged to grow. My goal is to help clients feel more confident, grounded, and capable of creating meaningful change in their lives. I bring extensive experience in behavioral health, counseling and family systems with a strong foundation in working with diverse individuals, families, and communities.
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where they can begin sharing their story at their own pace. I use the first session as an opportunity to get to know you, understand what brought you to therapy, and learn more about the areas of your life where you may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change. We will talk about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, support system, and goals for therapy. I will also answer any questions you may have about the therapy process and what working together may look like. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical, meaning we will work together to identify what you need, what you want to improve, and which tools or strategies may be most helpful for you.
One of the greatest strengths I bring to therapy is my ability to create a space that feels warm, supportive, and honest. I am compassionate and approachable, while also being direct and practical when clients need support moving toward change. I work to help clients feel seen, heard, and respected, while also encouraging them to explore patterns, build insight, and develop healthier coping skills.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, family conflict, grief, workplace stress, and challenges with boundaries or communication. I enjoy working with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, but who are open to gaining insight, building coping skills, and creating meaningful change in their lives.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and develop practical coping skills to manage anxiety, stress, and life challenges.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients build psychological flexibility by accepting difficult thoughts and emotions, staying grounded in the present moment, and taking meaningful action that aligns with their values.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness to help clients slow down, increase present-moment awareness, manage difficult emotions, and develop grounding skills that support healthier responses to stress, anxiety, and life challenges.
