I’m a compassionate and down to earth therapist who is dedicated to helping people feel heard, understood, and supported. I work with clients from all walks of life and strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My approach is both empathetic and practical. I take time to truly listen while also helping you build tools and strategies you can use in your everyday life. With experience working in diverse environments, including Schools, Correctional settings, and Military-connected communities, I understand that each person’s story is unique. I tailor my approach to fit your needs, whether you’re navigating stress, life transitions, relationships, or personal growth. My goal is to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and make meaningful progress at a pace that feels right for you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, you can expect a calm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to help you feel as comfortable and supported as possible from the very beginning. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to know exactly what to say. This is your time, and we will move in a way that feels right for you. We’ll start with a conversation about what brings you in and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. I may ask some gentle, thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, current challenges, and any goals you have in mind. This helps me get a clear picture of your needs so I can tailor my approach specifically to you. You are always in control of what you choose to share, and we can go as deep or as gradual as you’d like. I’ll also take time to explain how I work, what you can expect from future sessions, and answer any questions you may have. Together, we may begin identifying patterns, concerns, or areas you’d like to focus on moving forward. In some cases, we may start exploring simple tools or strategies you can begin using right away, but there is no pressure to do so if you’re not ready. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a better sense of direction and a clearer understanding of how we can work together. Most importantly, my hope is that you leave feeling heard, respected, and more at ease about the process. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and the first session is just the beginning of building trust and creating meaningful progress together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to genuinely listen, build trust, and create a space where clients feel safe enough to be open and honest. I understand that starting therapy or opening up about personal challenges can be difficult, so I meet each client with patience, respect, and without judgment. I pay close attention not only to what you say, but also to what may be harder to express, helping you feel truly seen and understood. Clients often share that they feel comfortable talking with me early on, which allows us to build a strong, supportive connection. Another strength I bring is balance. I combine empathy with practical guidance, meaning I will validate your experiences while also helping you move forward in meaningful ways. I don’t believe therapy should feel stuck or unclear. Instead, I help you make sense of your thoughts and emotions while also offering tools, strategies, and perspectives that you can apply in your everyday life. My goal is to help you not only feel better during sessions, but also feel more confident handling challenges outside of them. What stands out about my therapeutic approach is that it is personalized and flexible. I recognize that every individual has a different story, background, and set of needs. Because of this, I do not rely on a one-size-fits-all method. I take time to understand what works best for you and adjust my approach accordingly. Whether you need a space to process emotions, develop coping skills, improve relationships, or navigate life transitions, I tailor each session to support your goals. I also focus on creating realistic and steady progress. Change does not happen overnight, and I believe in setting achievable goals that build over time. Together, we will identify patterns, explore underlying concerns, and work toward solutions that feel manageable and sustainable. I aim to provide you with tools that you can continue to use long after our sessions, empowering you to maintain growth and confidence independently. Overall, my approach is collaborative, supportive, and results and oriented. I walk alongside you in the process, offering guidance, honesty, and encouragement every step of the way. Clients can expect to gain clarity, feel more in control of their lives, and develop a stronger sense of self as we work together toward meaningful and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals who are ready for growth, even if they’re not exactly sure where to start. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply tired of handling everything on your own. You might be navigating stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or trying to better understand yourself. Whether you’re facing something specific or just know that something needs to change, I provide a space where you can begin to sort through it at your own pace. I work well with clients who are open to honest conversation, self reflection, and learning new ways to approach life’s challenges. You don’t have to have all the answers or be completely ready. Just a willingness to show up and try is enough. My approach is supportive but also focused on helping you make real progress, so clients who are looking for both understanding and practical tools tend to benefit the most. I am especially well suited for individuals who value a balance between empathy and accountability. If you want a therapist who will listen, support you, and also gently challenge you when needed, we will likely work well together. I help clients identify patterns, build healthier habits, improve communication, and develop skills that lead to long-term growth. Overall, I am here for people who want to feel better, think more clearly, and move forward with purpose. If you’re looking for a space where you can be heard, supported, and guided toward meaningful change, I am ready to meet you where you are and walk alongside you in that process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach to therapy is grounded in a strong belief that life experience is one of our greatest teachers. Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings and connect with people from many different backgrounds. These experiences have helped me understand that growth doesn’t come from a single method or textbook. It comes from real life challenges, relationships, and the lessons we take from them. Alongside this, my education and professional training allow me to support you in a structured, thoughtful, and effective way. What this means for you is that I bring both real life understanding and clinical knowledge into our work together. I don’t just rely on theory. I connect it to everyday life in a way that feels practical and relatable. I aim to meet you where you are, both emotionally and mentally, and work with you to create a path forward that makes sense for your life, not just in theory but in reality. In our sessions, we’ll explore your experiences, challenges, and goals while also identifying patterns or habits that may be holding you back. I’ll help you reflect on what you’ve been through, what you’ve learned, and how you can use that knowledge to grow. At the same time, I’ll introduce tools and strategies that are supported by proven methods, helping you build skills that you can use outside of our sessions. My goal is to meet you halfway, bringing my knowledge, experience, and support; while you bring your story, your effort, and your willingness to grow. Together, we create a balanced approach that is both supportive and empowering. This combination allows you to not only understand yourself better but also take real, meaningful steps toward becoming a stronger, more confident version of yourself.
