I have over 20 years of clinical experience. I have supported adolescents and adults across hospital settings and community-based outpatient programs while specializing in mental health and substance use. My work is grounded in a client-driven approach that honors each individual’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. I strive to meet clients exactly where they are, providing them the safe environment which enables me to create collaborative relationships.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but your first session is all about getting comfortable and building a foundation. As a therapist who has 20 years of eclectic experience and a calm, grounded presence, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming conversation. You’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any challenges you’re facing. Gentle questions may be asked to understand your background, emotions, and coping style, while also explaining how therapy works and what approaches they may use. The session is designed to help you feel safe, heard, and supported as you begin your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With 20 years of eclectic experience, which allows me to tailor treatment to each client rather than using a one‑size‑fits‑all approach. I believe I have a calm, focused, and collected presence that helps clients feel grounded, supported, and safe from the very first session. With a skillful blend of evidence‑based techniques and genuine human connection, I create a balanced space where you can open up comfortably, explore difficult emotions at your own pace, and receive guidance that feels both practical and deeply understanding. My experience, steady energy, and personalized approach are what assist clients in feelings safe during their therapeutic journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

In a private practice setting, I value building a strong, trusting relationship with clients and creating a space that feels both supportive and structured. My goal is to help clients feel more confident, develop healthier coping strategies, and make meaningful, lasting changes at their own pace. I also work well with clients who feel unsure about making changes or are struggling with motivation. I take a collaborative approach—meeting clients where they are, helping them build insight, and supporting them in taking small, manageable steps toward their goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With CBT, I help clients look at how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. A lot of the time, people get stuck in negative thinking patterns without realizing it, so I work with them to slow that down, question those thoughts, and come up with more realistic or helpful ways of thinking. I also like to focus on practical tools they can use outside of sessions—things like tracking thoughts, building routines, or trying small behavior changes that can make a difference over time.
