My approach is holistic, integrating therapy, medication management, and practical strategies to address emotional, relational, and lifestyle factors that influence mental health. HI. I hope you don't mind dogs snoring during your appointments. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, supporting clients through both short-term challenges and long-term growth. I also provide family and couples counseling, helping individuals improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen relationships. My work is informed not only by my clinical training but also by my personal experience managing the complexities of family life while my partner traveled for work. This has given me a deep understanding of the unique stressors faced by families balancing demanding careers, travel, and parenting. I believe mental health care should be accessible, compassionate, and collaborative. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual or family’s needs, combining evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and supportive counseling with the flexibility of virtual sessions. My goal is to help clients develop resilience, regain balance, and achieve meaningful growth in all areas of life. Beyond direct therapy, I also provide guidance and resources for parenting challenges, workplace stress, and lifestyle adjustments that impact mental health. I see mental wellness as an ongoing journey, and I partner with my clients to build sustainable skills that empower them long after our sessions conclude. Whether you’re facing personal struggles, navigating life transitions, or seeking support for your family, I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges, gain clarity, and achieve your goals. Please Note: I do not prescribe controlled medications ex. benzodiazepines and stimulants.

During this session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I know that starting therapy or psychiatric care can feel intimidating or overwhelming, so my approach is gentle, compassionate, and focused on helping you feel comfortable from the very beginning. We’ll begin by discussing your reasons for seeking support and what you hope to achieve. This could include addressing specific mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use, navigating relationship challenges, managing stress at work or home, or simply exploring ways to improve overall well-being. I also welcome discussions about family dynamics, parenting stress, or lifestyle factors that may be affecting your mental health. Sharing your story helps me understand your unique experiences, patterns, and goals, so that I can provide care that is tailored specifically to you. During this initial session, I will gather important background information, including your personal and medical history, mental health history, and any previous treatments or therapies you have tried. I may also ask about your support system, daily routines, work or school life, and any significant life transitions or stressors. This comprehensive understanding allows me to identify the factors influencing your mental health and to begin thinking about the most effective, personalized strategies to support you. If you are seeking medication management, we will review any current or past medications, discuss your symptoms, and explore potential treatment options. I prioritize collaboration in all aspects of care, meaning we will make decisions together, discuss any concerns you have, and set realistic, achievable goals for your treatment. My approach is always holistic, considering not just your mental health symptoms but also the impact of relationships, lifestyle, work, and physical health on your overall well-being. I also take the time to explain the structure of therapy sessions and what you can expect moving forward. This includes discussing the frequency of sessions, options for virtual or in-person care, and how we will measure progress toward your goals. She was very good at honing in on issues that I intended to glaze over. She was easy to speak to, yet challenged me in ways that I typically shy away from. During our discussion I realized I still have some work to do, Ive just recently started understanding who I am, what I need, and setting boundaries. Today Jessica helped me realize, I need to reprocess some of my childhood trauma with the stronger person I am now, I think this journey may look a lot different than when I was younger.
