Hi, I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Georgia. I received my Masters from Thomas University in south GA. I have a dual Masters degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. Collectively, I have over 10 years of experience in counseling. I work with adults (18+). I enjoy both mental health counseling and vocational rehabilitation counseling. I aim to help clients become the best versions of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been married for over 38 years. I'm a mother of adult children and a grandmother. I have over a decade of combined experience as a case manager and a counselor. I am able to provide assistance with career transitions, analyzing vocational/transferrable skills, job accommodations in addition to mental health counseling.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When using CBT during therapy, I will work with you to identify and examine your core beliefs and thought patterns, explore their origins and modify those that are faulty. Once these faulty patterns have been identified, I will use therapeutic techniques to assist you in restructuring your thinking and thus, change unhealthy behaviors.

Christian Counseling

As a Christian, I will integrate scripture into the therapy process to promote healing. I use a combination of faith-based and psychotherapeutic interventions to help you copy and resolve life's challenges.

Couples Counseling

I utilize a combination of the the Gottman Method, Attachment theory and DBT tools when working with couples. I believe by combining these three methods, I am able to better help couples build a healthy relation while learning attachment styles and tools to regulation their emotions to facilitate effective communication and resolution to conflicts.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to assist client's in dealing with stress and anxiety. I will teach you skills to regulate your emotions, mindfulness to cope with stress, and distress tolerance to learn to manage emotional discomfort without resorting to maladaptive behaviors.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize this treatment method when working with EAP referred clients. This is a short term goal-focused approach using positive psychology to facilitate change.
