I am a LICSW with a background in yoga, pranayama and mindfulness meditation. My practice is informed by a breadth of experience including homelessness advocacy, environmental/social justice advocacy and community-based mental health in MA. I consider my greatest teachers to be my family members and also consider myself a student to the teachings of Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, Pema Chodron and Thich Nhat Hanh.
In our first session together we will explore what is bringing you to seek therapy and from there we can decide both on an approach and if the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit.
I gravitate towards an approach of radical acceptance and non-judgment, while offering a warm and supportive presence. My practice is infused with nature connection, mindfulness and gratitude while informed by an mix of evidence based practices including MBCT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, somatic therapy and internal family systems.
I enjoy working with all expressions of the human experience and honor each individual’s unique path to healing.
I utilize a body based approach that is curious and non-judgmental.
IFS inspires my work with clients in creating insight and awareness of all our parts that influence our thoughts, behaviors and relationships.
