Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I’m so glad you’re here and considering taking this step. My practice is built around creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can focus on building the future you want, rather than dwelling on the past. I believe in the power of accountability and work with my clients to reduce conflict, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and explore what you’d like to accomplish in therapy. From there, we’ll work together to set clear short and long term goals that align with your needs and values. At the end of each session, I’ll check in with you about what you felt was most helpful, what was not helpful , and what steps you’d like to focus on in the week ahead so that our work together stays focused and impactful.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the integration of evidence-based modalities within a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed framework that is tailored to each client’s needs and pace. I draw from approaches such as CBT, ACT, attachment-based therapy, EMDR, somatic work, and couples interventions to address both insight and practical change, supporting clients in understanding the “why” behind their patterns while also building concrete tools for regulation and behavior change. Clients often experience improved emotional regulation, increased self-awareness, and greater clarity in relationships as they learn to respond rather than react to difficult thoughts, emotions, and triggers. My focus is on helping clients build sustainable change through safety, consistency, and skills that support long-term resilience and alignment with their values.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also work well with individuals and couples who feel stuck in patterns of disconnection, overwhelm, or reactivity and are seeking greater insight, stability, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Many of the clients I support are motivated for change but may feel unsure of how to move forward and benefit from a structured, collaborative, and skills-based approach that builds both insight and practical coping tools. My approach is especially well-suited for clients seeking to improve emotional regulation, process past experiences, strengthen attachment security, and align their lives more closely with their values and goals.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility by learning how to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding or fighting them. In practice, I incorporate mindfulness, values clarification, and behavioral strategies to help clients identify what matters most to them and take meaningful action aligned with those values. ACT is especially helpful for clients struggling with anxiety, trauma, burnout, life transitions, emotional reactivity, and relationship stress, as it supports building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience while reducing the impact of unhelpful thought patterns.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand how early relational experiences and attachment patterns influence their current relationships, emotional responses, and sense of safety. In my practice, I help clients identify patterns such as fear of abandonment, emotional avoidance, people-pleasing, or difficulty trusting others, while working to build healthier ways of connecting and communicating. I integrate attachment-focused interventions with emotional processing, mindfulness, and relational skill-building to support clients in developing more secure relationships with themselves and others.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors. In practice, I work collaboratively with clients to increase awareness of the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and more balanced ways of thinking. CBT interventions are often integrated with mindfulness, behavioral activation, and practical skill-building to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, stress, and relationship difficulties.

Trauma Informed Care

I utilize a trauma-informed care approach in all aspects of my practice, recognizing the widespread impact of trauma and the importance of creating a safe, empowering, and collaborative therapeutic environment. I prioritize emotional and physical safety, choice, trust, and pacing, ensuring that clients maintain control over their therapeutic process. In sessions, I remain attentive to trauma responses such as hypervigilance, avoidance, or emotional dysregulation, and I tailor interventions to support stabilization before deeper processing. My work integrates grounding skills, emotional regulation strategies, and strengths-based perspectives to help clients build resilience and restore a sense of safety and agency.

Somatic

I incorporate somatic approaches into my practice by helping clients develop awareness of how emotions and stress are experienced and stored in the body. In sessions, I may guide clients in noticing physical sensations, breath patterns, tension, or shifts in arousal as a way to better understand emotional responses and trauma-related activation. Somatic work is often integrated with grounding techniques, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to support nervous system regulation, increase emotional tolerance, and help clients reconnect with a sense of safety and presence in their bodies.
