Hi! I'm a licensed clinical social worker, licensed in MA and Vermont. I graduated from Springfield College School of Social Work. One of my treatement specialties is working with adults who have anxiety and/or anxiety-based disorders such as panic, phobias, and health anxiety. My goal is to help them develop an array of coping skills to better manage their anxiety so they can take back their lives to regain a sense of peace and happiness. I work with adults of all ages, but one of the age groups I work with the most is professional women in mid-life who feel overwhelmed by all the things they have to juggle and have put their needs aside. I also specialize in treating eating disorders and people who are recovering from narcissitic abuse.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will include brief introductions as well as identifying what concerns bring you to therapy as well as some background information.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I practice using the systems theory which basically means I consider all areas of your life and how they might be impacting your struggles. I also use a strengths-based perspective meaning I focus on the things you do well and support you in learning how to build on those strengths to move past your anxiety, burnout, or fallout from narcissistic/toxic abuse.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I support clients in recognizing thought patterns that can negatively impact their mental health and how to recognize and change these patterns to live a happier, more fullfilling life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT skills are often vital in learning how to tolerate distressing thoughts, feelings, and situations. I often incorporate elements of DBT into sessions when needed to help my better manage their mental health.

Compassion Focused

I know life can be very challenging at times and knowing you are not alone and someone is in your corner is important part of the healing process. So often people come to therapy and are experiencing harsh/judgemental thoughts about themselves that contribute to anxiety, depression, etc. I will create a safe, compassionate space for you to express yourself as well as teach you the skills to be more compassionate towards yourself.
