About me

Hi, I’m Kimberly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping adults navigate anxiety, burnout, grief, life transitions, and the stress that can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who truly listens while also helping you build practical skills that create lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop healthier ways to cope, and work toward goals that align with the life you want to create. I’m especially interested in the connection between mental and physical wellness. Whether we’re talking about stress, sleep, routines, relationships, or lifestyle habits, I believe healing happens when we care for the whole person, not just the symptoms. Seeking therapy takes courage, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel understood, challenged when needed, and empowered to move forward with confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve never talked with a therapist before. My goal is to make our first session feel comfortable, welcoming, and free of judgment. During our first appointment, I’ll spend time getting to know you—what brings you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope will be different in your life. We’ll talk about your current concerns, important life experiences, relationships, strengths, and any challenges you’ve been facing. You don’t have to tell your entire life story in one session. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll also discuss what you want to accomplish in therapy and begin creating a plan together. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, so your goals will guide our work. Many clients leave the first session feeling relieved simply because they’ve been able to say things out loud in a safe space. My hope is that you leave with a greater sense of hope, a clearer understanding of where we’re headed, and confidence that you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is balancing compassion with practical guidance. I want you to feel heard and understood, but I also want our sessions to help you make meaningful progress outside of therapy. I use evidence-based approaches while tailoring treatment to your unique needs and personality. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all advice, we’ll work together to find strategies that realistically fit your life. Clients often describe me as calm, supportive, genuine, and easy to talk to. I also believe it’s important to gently challenge unhelpful patterns when they keep you from becoming the person you want to be. Growth isn’t always comfortable, but you won’t have to face it alone. I also bring an appreciation for the connection between mental health, physical wellness, and everyday habits. Small changes in routines, self-care, movement, boundaries, and perspective can have a powerful impact on emotional well-being. My goal is to help you leave sessions not only feeling supported but equipped with tools you can confidently use in everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an adult who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted and is ready to make meaningful changes. They may be struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, or low self-confidence. They don’t have to have everything figured out—they simply need a willingness to be honest, curious, and open to growth. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but privately feel anxious, disconnected, or like they’re carrying more than they can manage. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s keeping them stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and build a life that feels more balanced, purposeful, and fulfilling.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients create meaningful, lasting change. CBT helps us identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or low self-esteem. Together, we’ll learn to challenge those patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping skills you can use in everyday life. Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach that helps you explore your own reasons for change. Rather than telling you what to do, I’ll help you clarify your goals, strengthen your confidence, and work through any uncertainty or barriers that may be keeping you stuck. I believe therapy should be both supportive and practical. My goal is to help you better understand yourself while equipping you with tools you can apply outside of our sessions. Every treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs, values, and goals so that the changes you make feel realistic, sustainable, and meaningful.
