I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who looks to work with conflictual couples and individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I employ varied approaches depending on what might be most helpful for the benefit of our therapeutic alliance. I provide a very casual, conversational setting but will be directive to those who ask it of me.
I like to get to know my clients including current circumstances, "vital stats", and the areas in which they desire change.
I trust that my empathy and my own experience as therapy client help to create therapeutic bonds and bridging.
I work mostly with couples seeking better relational and conflict goals and individuals who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
I believe most therapeutic growth and understanding comes from the knowledge of how we process thoughts and emotions based on the initial "fight or flight" component.
I follow a systems-based approach with couples and families, encouraging insight into how patterns are formed and where interruptions in those patterns can be changed.
I work on a "deep dive" trajectory into the storage of traumatic fears and the associated behaviors that interfere in daily life.
