About me

I’m a licensed professional counselor who helps adults and teens navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, and personal growth. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I work with clients to better understand recurring patterns, develop healthier ways of coping and relating to others, and create meaningful, lasting changes that fit their individual goals and circumstances.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you, what brought you to therapy, and what you would like to be different in your life. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, relationships, stressors, strengths, and goals. You do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of what we can work on together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, curiosity, humor, and a practical style to therapy. I help clients connect present struggles with deeper patterns, build insight, and turn that insight into realistic, lasting changes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck in patterns that are no longer working and wants to better understand themselves, their relationships, and their choices. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or problems with communication and boundaries. I work especially well with clients who are open to reflection but also want therapy to be practical and action-oriented. My goal is for clients to leave each session with something useful to take away, whether that is a new insight, a different perspective, a specific skill, or a concrete next step. When appropriate, I also use between-session exercises or homework to help clients apply what we discuss in therapy to their everyday lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another, and develop more effective ways of responding to difficult situations. Together, we look at what is maintaining the problem, practice new coping strategies, and use real-life examples and between-session exercises to help create meaningful, lasting change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. We work on identifying personal values, increasing psychological flexibility, and taking meaningful action even when discomfort is present. The goal is not to eliminate every difficult feeling, but to help clients live more fully and make choices that are consistent with what matters most to them.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT skills to help clients manage intense emotions, tolerate distress more effectively, improve communication, and respond to difficult situations with greater balance. We may work on mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and coping strategies that can be practiced between sessions and applied directly to everyday challenges.
