Erica Lasha Long
I bring an easygoing, calm, and nonjudgmental approach to treatment. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can be yourself and openly discuss life's challenges. Through both my professional background and personal life experiences, I recognize that each person's journey is unique. My goal is to provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized care that meets you where you are.
First session
During your first session, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We'll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, life experiences, and treatment goals. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what is important to you, and work together to develop an individualized treatment plan.
Strengths
My approach stands out because I combine clinical expertise with an easygoing, calm, and nonjudgmental style. I take time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and understand the whole person, not just symptoms. I believe treatment works best when you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. Together, we create an individualized plan that supports your unique needs and goals.
Ideal clients
If you're a professional navigating career changes, managing anxiety, or trying to create a healthier work-life balance, you're not alone. Many professionals feel overwhelmed by increasing responsibilities, uncertainty, and the pressure to succeed. Treatment offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to gain insight, develop practical coping skills, manage stress more effectively, and build confidence as you work toward a more balanced and fulfilling personal and professional life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, goal-focused approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we will identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and practice strategies to manage symptoms and improve daily functioning. Treatment is collaborative, and progress happens one step at a time.
Supportive
Culturally sensitive therapy recognizes that your background, beliefs, values, family experiences, and identity can influence your mental health and well-being. Treatment is provided in a respectful, nonjudgmental environment where your unique experiences are valued and considered when developing goals and coping strategies.
