I have one main intention for all clients with whom I work and that is to reduce suffering. Suffering takes a lot of forms, from struggling with discernment, overwhelm, thoughts that cycle and cycle and cycle throughout our minds...grief of something we've had or something we want to have -- and so much more. My approach to treatment is down-to-earth, nonjudgmental, and compassionate; and is leveraged with a sense of practicality and directiveness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My style is unstructured and that is because I believe that our relationship is completely necessary for you to feel respected, regarded as a human, and cared for. Therefore, when we first meet, we are going to informally talk about a lot of things from what kinds of challenges you're faced with, how these challenges have affected you, what you are wanting for yourself (if you know), and how we can join to help you start to get there. During our first meeting, I will focus not only on learning about you, but on sending you with some strategies and ways to address thoughts and experiences.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a lot of human insight into the therapeutic work I do. I can find compassion for all people with whom I work. I help people feel seen and understood. I help them to feel cared for. But, I can challenge people as well in a way that they can receive.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The people who I work best with tend to have a good sense of why they are seeking therapy and have a broad idea of what they’d like to be talking about.

Dr. Jeannie is the best! She’s warm, genuine, and incredibly supportive. Her thoughtful questions help you reflect and grow, and she creates a safe space where you truly feel heard. She’s sensitive, authentic, and has a way of empowering you to see things more clearly. I always leave our sessions feeling stronger and more grounded.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I specialize in helping individuals find peace, connection, and resolution in their personal and professional relationships by helping to identify patterns that may be in need of healing or modification in order to better serve them.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I approach therapy from the belief that we all have the necessary tools, inner voice, and instincts necessary for positive change, but that these can be best accessed in a respectful, positive and safe space.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I promise I won't tell you to just "go meditate"! I draw from aspects of mindfulness by helping my clients to be more aware of their inner world so that they can better support and heal parts of themselves.
