In our first session together, you can expect a warm, conversational space where we begin getting to know each other and what brings you to therapy. This initial session also serves as an intake, where I’ll gather some background information about your history, current concerns, and goals for treatment. Together, we’ll explore what’s been feeling challenging, what you hope to gain from therapy, and whether my approach feels like a good fit for your needs. I’ll also share more about how I work and answer any questions you may have about the process. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this session is about beginning to build trust, safety, and a collaborative foundation for our work together.
Rebecca brings a wealth of experience and training that informs her approach to therapy and makes her work with clients both thorough and personalized. She has specialized training in clinical mental health and substance use assessment, allowing her to understand the full spectrum of mental health concerns and how they may intersect with substance use. Her background in clinical research adds a strong foundation in evidence-based practices, helping her integrate interventions that are both effective and tailored to each individual. Rebecca also has extensive experience treating patients within a 3.7 level of care for mental health and addiction, giving her insight into complex clinical presentations and the skills to support clients through challenging transitions. Her integrative therapeutic approach, blending psychodynamic–psychoanalytic frameworks with cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavioral techniques, allows her to meet clients where they are—addressing both underlying patterns and present-day challenges. This combination of clinical expertise, research-informed practice, and a flexible, integrative methodology helps her stand out as a therapist who can provide deep, individualized support while fostering lasting growth and resilience.
Have you ever felt like you’re ready to understand yourself on a deeper level—to explore the emotions, patterns, and experiences that shape who you are? Maybe you’re going through a big life change, feeling stuck in stress, anxiety, or depression, or simply wanting to feel more grounded and confident in your sense of self. You might be looking for more than just quick relief—you may want real insight, practical tools, and lasting emotional balance. If you value authenticity, warmth, and a little bit of gentle challenge in your therapy work, you’ll likely feel at home here. In our work together, we’ll move at your pace, blending reflection, mindfulness, and even humor as we explore what healing and growth look like for you. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to continue your journey, our time together is a space to honor both your struggles and your capacity to heal and thrive.

I identify as
Psychodynamic
I believe that healing begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My approach to therapy is rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic principles, helping clients explore the deeper layers of their experiences, relationships, emotions, and patterns that may be influencing their lives in ways they do not fully recognize. Together, we gently uncover how past experiences and unresolved wounds may continue to shape present-day thoughts, feelings, relationships, and reactions. Therapy offers a unique space to slow down, become curious about yourself, and make sense of experiences that may have felt confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to put into words. Through compassionate exploration and insight-building, we work to increase self-awareness, foster emotional healing, and create opportunities for meaningful and lasting change. At the heart of my work is the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful tools for healing. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel safe bringing all parts of yourself into the room—your strengths, struggles, fears, hopes, and questions. In addition to my clinical experience, my background in clinical research has deepened my appreciation for the connection between science and healing. I remain committed to integrating current psychological research, evidence-based practices, and emerging developments in mental health care while honoring each client's unique story, values, and goals. This allows me to provide treatment that is both thoughtful and individualized, balancing the art of psychotherapy with the knowledge gained through ongoing research and clinical advancement. Whether you are seeking relief from current challenges, looking to better understand yourself, or hoping to heal from past experiences, my goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and less alone in the process.
