Additionally, I pursued my doctorate in Mind Body Medicine to deepen my understanding and skills to address the complexity and variety of stressors contributing to mental health challenges. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will begin by each of us discussing our life experiences. I will ask questions to help me understand what has happened in your life to contribute to your current distress. I will share with you my professional experience that will guide me in helping you develop a plan forward.

My life experience coupled with my professional experience provide adherence to evidence based treatments guided by wisdom. And the greatest wisdom is belief in you!

My treatment methods

Integrative

My training has been extensive, enabling integration of many evidence based approaches as we work together to address areas of your experience that are interfering with your pursuit of happiness. These treatments include: TF-CBT (trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy); CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy); ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy); EMDR; Guided Imagery; Hypnosis; MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction); Biofeedback; and a variety of other mind-body medicine techniques. Additionally, Art, Music, Movement, and traditional talk therapy to explore issues are options frequently chosen by people. By integrating approaches we agree will be helpful, you will be developing a repertoire of lifelong skills!

Working together using an integrated mind body treatment approach to address your anxiety, including OCD, depression, PTSD and other traumatic issues, we will work towards improving your ability to manage the negative effects that are interfering with your pursuit of a productive life. Listening to you, understanding what is bringing you to therapy and together formulating an overall plan to provide you with the support and skills will provide a pathway to resolve the challenges in your life with confidence.
