Annie Korotney
Are you looking for a safe, judgement free space to work on your mental health? Do you want to improve your quality of life, explore self awareness, refine relationships, better your coping skills?….Then, this is the space for you. Reaching out for help does not make you weak; in fact I believe this shows strength, courage and considerable insight. As a therapist I am here to support you, to help you enhance all aspects of your life and to objectively improve your mental health. I have experience working with individuals suffering with depression and anxiety. I am well versed in treatment options and therapy modalities and will tailor my approach around your specific needs and wants. We will work together as a team to address your goals for therapy. My hope is that that you feel safe, heard and healthy. I look forward to working with you!
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. I’ll spend some time learning about what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you hope to achieve. We’ll also discuss any symptoms, patterns, or challenges you’ve been experiencing, and I’ll answer any questions you have about the therapy process. Together, we’ll start to identify your goals and outline a plan for how we’ll work toward them—at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of direction. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; this is a space where you can open up gradually and feel supported as we move forward.
Strengths
My greatest strengths as a therapist include creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I have a calm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental presence that helps people open up and feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions or patterns. I’m also skilled at helping clients make connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and at providing practical tools they can use in everyday life. My approach balances warmth and empathy with structure and evidence-based strategies, helping clients not only understand why they feel the way they do, but also how to make meaningful change. Clients often describe me as approachable, insightful, and encouraging—a therapist who listens deeply while also guiding them toward growth and self-awareness.
Ideal clients
I work best with individuals who are ready to explore patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and want to make meaningful, lasting change. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, self-doubt, or negative thinking, and are motivated to understand themselves more deeply. I often work with people navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or stress, who are looking for practical tools as well as emotional insight.
