Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will start with a brief introduction before discussing your challenges, feelings, and thoughts. We will explore your specific concerns through a series of questions and self-reflection, and together, we will develop goals for our work. I will provide an overview of the therapeutic process and establish a framework for our collaboration. You will be able to ask questions or express any concerns you may have about the therapy process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am committed to continuous learning to ensure I provide the best care possible, effectively addressing the unique needs of my clients. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can discuss the difficult topics that may be hindering their fulfillment. I will draw from a range of effective methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), faith-based practices, and Motivational Interviewing. In sessions we will regularly evaluate your progress and adjust our approach when necessary to help you move toward your goals. Feeling better takes time, dedication, and most importantly, patience. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but the benefits of this journey can be profoundly rewarding. Together, we can navigate your path to a more fulfilling life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with young adults and adult clients to navigate various challenges, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My focus includes stress management, self-care, career development, self-esteem, relationship conflicts, grief and loss, and the integration of individual spirituality into daily life. Clients for our therapeutic alliance are willing to engage in the therapeutic process and commit to personal growth. They understand that seeking help is a sign of strength and are ready to take actionable steps toward building a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

Combines psychological principles with Christian faith to support your emotional and spiritual well-being. The aim is to create a safe space where you can express your thoughts and feelings, while also drawing on your faith as a source of strength and guidance. Together, we’ll work to align your mental health goals with your spiritual beliefs, helping you find a deeper sense of purpose, peace, and resilience in your life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

A structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In our sessions, we will work together to identify negative thought patterns that may be contributing to your emotional challenges, such as anxiety, depression, or stress. The process involves examining how these thoughts that influence your feelings and actions. CBT also includes practical strategies and exercises that you can apply outside of our sessions, helping you develop skills to cope with difficulties and make positive changes in your life. The aim is to empower you to take control of your mental health, enhance your problem-solving abilities, and foster a more positive outlook.

Integrative

A flexible approach that combines different therapeutic techniques and theories to best meet your unique needs. In our sessions, we will tailor the process by drawing from various methods, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, among others. This means that instead of sticking to just one style, we’ll use the tools and strategies that resonate with you and are most effective for your specific needs. The goal of integrative therapy is to provide a holistic and personalized experience, addressing not just your mental health concerns but also your emotional and relational well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

A specialized form of therapy designed to help you manage intense emotions and improve your relationships. In our sessions, we’ll focus on building skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. The goal is to help you create a more balanced and fulfilling life by developing these essential skills and fostering acceptance alongside change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

A therapeutic approach that encourages you to clarify your values—what truly matters to you—and to take committed actions that align with those values, even in the face of challenges. In our sessions, we will explore how to embrace your emotions and experiences, even the difficult ones, instead of trying to avoid or control them. The goal is to enhance your psychological flexibility, meaning you'll be better equipped to adapt to life's ups and downs while living a fulfilling life that reflects your core beliefs and values. This approach can help you build resilience and a deeper sense of purpose, empowering you to move forward despite obstacles.
