Rebecca's compassion focused approach is grounded in guiding clients towards self-acceptance, self-compassion and healing.
Rebecca has completed foundational training in EMDR and is now offering this treatment modality to clients. EMDR therapy does not require talking in detail about the distressing issue or completing homework between sessions. EMDR is designed to resolved unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain and allows the brain to resume its natural healing process.
Rebecca prioritizes creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected and empowered. Rebecca remains grounded in the principles of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration and empowerment.
When utilizing CBT with a client, Rebecca employs a structured and goal-oriented approach to help clients identify and change patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to their difficulties. Using evidence-based techniques, Rebecca supports clients in acquiring new perspectives and developing healthier ways of thinking and behaving, leading to last positive change and improved emotional well-being.
When using mindfulness-based therapy, Rebecca approaches work with clients with a focus on cultivating present-moment awareness, acceptance and non-judgmental observation. Rebecca will help the client explore their inner experiences with curiosity and openness, while fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns of thought and behavior.
