What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The therapist and client will work collaboratively to develop a plan. Our approach focuses on holistic health and relationship well-being, considering diet, movement, and mindfulness as essential elements to restoring a sense of balance and genuine connection to self and others. We will start where you are. There is no prescribed agenda for therapy. Come as you are and we will partner together to develop a plan to optimize your emotional and relational wellbeing.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Primary modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and somatic therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): explores and challenges maladaptive patterns of thinking and behavioral responses. The premise is that how a person perceives a situation determines their reaction, regardless of the actual reality. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): an efficient and pragmatic approach which focuses on finding solutions in the present and identifying inherent strengths and resiliencies. Somatic Therapy: also known as “body-centered” therapy. In addition to talk therapy, the therapist will explore movement and mindfulness as essential components to promoting mental wellness.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My background in healthcare informs my practice as I believe that physical and emotional health are inextricably related. We will work to explore the mind/body connection- specifically how lifestyle and habits impact emotional responses. I am certified in perinatal mental health and can offer a safe space to explore the complex emotions associated with pregnancy and parenthood.
