Welcome! My name is Melissa. As a Lifespan Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to offering individualized, holistic, and comprehensive mental health treatment to each patient. I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, eating disorders, OCD, women's health, sleep disorders, self-esteem issues, bipolar and mood disorders. I understand that mental health is multifaceted and deeply interconnected with various aspects of an individual's life, including physical health, relationships, and lifestyle factors. Therefore, my approach to treatment is tailored to address the unique needs and circumstances of each person.
During the initial intake, we will have a meet and greet followed by a comprehensive assessment that takes about an hour. It's important to take the time to get to know each other and understand your individual needs and desires before developing a treatment plan. This personalized approach ensures that the treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs and goals, increasing the likelihood of success.
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I am dedicated to each one of my patients in achieving positive outcomes. By embracing a personalized, holistic approach to care and regularly monitoring progress, adjusting strategies, and providing ongoing support, I help individuals achieve their mental health goals and improve their quality of life. I am committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Dealing with mental health disorders can be incredibly difficult and overwhelming, and it's common to feel scared and alone when facing these challenges. However, it's important to remember that help is available and you don't have to face these struggles alone. With the right support and tools, it's possible to find balance, cultivate positive self and environmental perceptions, and manage stressors effectively. Remember that taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health, and there is no shame in seeking help when you need it.

Melissa is a kind, considerate, and empathetic provider who is focused on more than just what medications she can prescribe you. She asks about your day-to-day, gets to know you and your life, your stressors and joys, and provides guidance and recommendations based on all of that combined. Her holistic approach is refreshing when compared to other providers I've had who just throw meds at the wall to see what sticks. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Absolutely incredible! Extremely well versed, current on latest research, has a holistic approach to treatment, is very authentic, and has a great sense of humor while also being able to “read the room” with ease. She’s very open minded and not judgmental. She has a wealth of knowledge about other areas beyond psychiatry as well which makes her a stellar practitioner!

Integrative psychiatry takes a holistic and functional approach to wellness by considering the body, mind, and environment as interconnected aspects of a person's overall health. This means that in addition to traditional treatments, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) may also be used to support mental and physical well-being, as well as lifestyle changes. It's important to remember that everyone's needs are unique, so treatment plans are personalized to address individual concerns and goals.
Person-centered therapy is an approach to therapy that prioritizes empathy and the creation of a non-judgmental space for individuals to work through their thoughts and emotions. This type of therapy is focused on helping individuals self-actualize and make positive changes in their lives. As your clinician, I provide support and guidance but allow you to take the lead in your therapy journey. By prioritizing an individual's needs and goals, person-centered therapy can be an effective way to help people work through a wide range of challenges and issues.
