New to Grow
I am the founder of a clinic named The Best Mental Health Practice of Southern Colorado for 2025. I know that we all go through unusually stressful times and need competent and accessible help. I have been providing trauma-informed psychotherapy before it was a buzzword and specialize in trauma-focused family services. I have experience as a research psychologist in Europe and a successful practitioner in the US working with adults who struggle with trauma symptoms, divorce/post-divorce adjustment issues, couples conflict, and parent-child challenges.
My approach includes getting to know you and to develop understanding of your strengths and resources as a person before formulating goals. You are always on the driving seat and will set your own priorities. I am here to honor your needs and to help you achieve your desired outcomes.
My approach is informed by a combination of existential psychology, neuropsychology, and knowledge about human growth and development. You may find information about me on line, such as: Guentcheva has played a consistent role in advancing Colorado’s mental health field. She has worked in diverse clinical environments, applying evidence-based practices while staying committed to a humanistic tradition. Her professional focus spans the development of advanced stress management strategies for leaders in demanding industries, the design of tailored emotional regulation techniques to meet executive performance needs, and the application of neuropsychological optimization methods rooted in clinical research.
I have extensive experience with trauma symptom resolution, family conflict, and couple's issues. My repertoire in addressing trauma issues is extensive and I can offer adjunct therapy approaches that don't place pressure on the client to regurgitate the details of the trauma episodes. Family systems, co-parenting and divorce, separation, and post-divorce issues are another area I am versed in. I also successfully address parenting concerns and adjustment issues.
Eclectic
As a therapist with significant experience, I know that one size does not fit all. I do my best to adapt the therapy approach to clients preference and understanding of their own needs. Often, we discover together through psychoeducation the approach that appeals to them the most.
