Hi, I'm Clarisa Roye, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida, with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and currently completing my Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD). I've worked with clients across a range of settings for several years, from adolescents to adults. My focus areas include anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship and family concerns, life transitions, and self-esteem. My style is warm, curious, open-minded, and flexible.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is really just about getting to know each other and no pressure to have it all figured out. You'll share what's brought you in and what you're hoping for, and if you're not totally sure yet, that's completely okay; a lot of people show up that way. I see us as a team: you're the expert on your own life, and my job is to help you find clarity and feel confident in your next steps. All I ask is that you come willing to try, and that you don't compare your process to anyone else's! We'll figure out the rest together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is eclectic rather than one-size-fits-all. I pull from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and solution-focused frameworks depending on what each client actually needs. I'm comfortable both holding space and gently challenging someone when that's more useful. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) Venezuelan therapist, I bring lived cultural understanding to work with Hispanic/Latinx clients navigating identity, family, or immigration-related dynamics, alongside my broader clinical training and experience across ages and backgrounds.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My common clients are adolescents, college students, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, or self-esteem struggles. I work especially well with people going through life transitions, starting college, changing careers, moving, or adjusting to a new chapter, and those trying to figure out who they are while juggling family, school, or early-career pressure. I'm also a good fit for clients navigating relationships who want a collaborative, non-judgmental space to think things through and problem-solve.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

My approach is eclectic, meaning I don't believe one framework works for everyone, so I draw from several depending on what will genuinely help you. From cognitive behavioral therapy, I help you notice and shift thought patterns that may be holding you back. From acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness-based approaches, I help you sit with difficult emotions rather than avoid them, while identifying your core values and taking steps to live in line with them. From humanistic and person-centered therapy, I bring a genuine, non-judgmental presence, since you are the expert on your own life. From positive psychology, I help you build on your existing strengths rather than focus only on what feels broken.
