Hi! I'm Alicia. Do you find that you are struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed by life, experiencing gender identity or sexual orientation acceptance issues, relationship concerns, or even struggling with an addiction?
I have also been working with an increasing number of clients in various stages related to gender identity and sexual orientation concerns.
I know how hard and vulnerable it is to ask for help. Simply looking for a therapist is a HUGE step and you should be proud of yourself for getting here. I would love to continue with you on your journey of empowerment, self-care, and growth. We will talk about areas you would like to improve in your life, along with developing ways to better manage these difficult like arenas. I can't wait to meet you!
First session
I use the first few sessions as an opportunity to get to know you and understand all of the concerns that brought you to Grow Therapy, along with your desires goals and outcomes while we work together. After each session, at minimum, you should feel a sense of ease in your symptoms, as the sessions are YOUR time to express yourself and release your stressors.
Strengths
I have worked with those struggling with addictions since 2013 and this is an area I truly enjoy helping clients through. With addiction comes a vast array of other, by proxy, issues: broken relationships, depression, anxiety, lack of trust. I'm able provide you with support and understanding, both of which are often lacking for those experiencing addiction or mental health. I have also been working with an increasing number of clients in various stages related to gender identity and sexual orientation concerns. These topics can be very sensitive and scary to share. I am here as your ally.
