Are you looking for a therapy experience that is non traditional to a typical office talk therapy session? Are you frustrated you are struggling with the same issues year after year despite several bouts of therapy? Are you open to trying something different and having therapy sessions at a farm setting surrounded by nature and horses and donkeys? If this is intriguing, I invite you to continue reading. Counseling and Counselor Education Services of Georgia (CCESG) is located at my private farm in McDonough, Georgia. Clinical practice incorporates equine interactions, the farm environment, nature, and biofeedback to enhance the psychotherapy experience with you toward meeting your therapy goals The therapeutic experiences at this non traditional healthcare setting simply cannot be provided or replicated in a traditional office setting yet it does not replace evidenced based care which is at the core of my practice. As a retired Army Veteran and prior experience in the VA healthcare system, I have lived experience that enables me to understand the unique experiences across the military/veteran culture and how to access varied services. I very much welcome military Veterans and their family members seeking therapy and support services. You deserve a safe place to heal and grow. Whether you are challenged with anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors, ADHD or other life issues that impede your happiness, I am here for you and look forward to working with you. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect a comfortable and safe setting outdoors; you may be greeted by a donkey when you arrive; our first session focuses on getting to know each other, discussing your reasons for therapy and your goals; we take time to get to know each other and I may ask alot of questions to help me understand who you are and what brings you to therapy; you will also learn about my theoretical orientation, what that means, and my approach to counseling.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My niche is providing a safe, calm environment and incorporating experiential interactions outdoors with nature and equines.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am a cognitive behaviorist and to help clients challenge reoccurring thoughts to manage anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your values, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other and the interconnectedness with your body and overall wellness. I incorporate nature and farm animals to enhance the therapy experience. All sessions are held outdoors at a farm setting with access to cover during inclimate weather.
