You’ve spent so much of your life showing up for everyone else that somewhere along the way, you may have stopped checking in with yourself. On the outside, you might appear strong, capable, and high-functioning, but internally feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck trying to hold everything together. Whether you’re navigating relationship stress, family expectations, burnout, anxiety, life transitions, or simply trying to rediscover who you are beyond survival mode, therapy can be a space where you no longer have to carry it all alone.
Our sessions will be grounded in practical tools and skills designed to help you overcome obstacles. Whether it's decision-making, managing life changes, or addressing stressors, you'll acquire strategies to not only navigate your current challenges but also build a foundation for future resilience. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work together in follow-up sessions. Together, we'll discuss your expectations and goals for counseling. This is a collaborative process, and your input is crucial in shaping our work together. We want to make sure our sessions are focused on what matters most to you.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in authenticity. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and safe enough to show up fully as yourself without judgment. Together, we will work to build healthier coping skills, improve emotional wellness, strengthen boundaries, process difficult experiences, and help you move toward the version of yourself that feels most whole and aligned. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.
I specialize in supporting women of color as they navigate anxiety, stress, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, depression, academic or career pressures, and relationship concerns. I understand the unique weight that can come from constantly feeling the need to be “strong,” balancing cultural or family expectations, and managing the emotional toll of being everything for everyone while neglecting yourself in the process.

Motivational Interviewing
Sometimes knowing what you want and actually making a change are two different things. Using Motivational Interviewing, I'll help you explore what's getting in the way, clarify your goals, and strengthen your confidence to move forward. This approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you make changes that align with your values and feel authentic to who you are.
