Hello! I am a Clinical Licensed Master Social Worker based in Michigan. I strive to provide compassionate care to those with ranging needs in the overwhelming and discouraging seasons of their life. For 5 years I have supported children, adolescents, adults and older adults with individual and family needs in the school, home and community setting. I greatly focus on critical needs that impact the problem behaviors in daily life that keep people from embracing their best self with a holistic approach.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with introducing who we are and what our expectations of therapy are. I will often ask a couple of questions to better understand specific details, and I always welcome clients to ask questions they may have. We will further focus on specific challenges and formulate a plan to work through in follow up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My focus is to engage creatively and provide a safe space to feel heard, learn and grow. I provide nurturing, guided support that carries on into many elements of life. I am flexible, open minded and have empathy for every person I encounter.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

I have witnessed natural, positive changes happen in young peoples lives with the mind-body approach. Slight additions or sublimations within our routine can change the course of how we accept and perceive the stressors of the world or within ourselves. Utilized through art, dance, mindfulness, meditation, music, yoga, and breath work.

Play Therapy

I have worked with children for 5+ years and I have found that the freedom to play supports the basic needs of those children to feel safe and secure in a therapeutic environment. This approach supports children expressing their emotions, feelings, and experiences. It also provides a solid foundation for teaching, learning and growing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have utilized this method for 4 years to support clients priorities in treatment. Many clients find the solutions are within reach and appropriate to facilitate their current issue.

Strength-Based

I have had the honor of supporting clients whom are in the seasons of life, navigating their way. Utilizing adapted strengths was their most successful work in progressing toward positive change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have been focused on trauma work from the beginning of my education, further into my career, to better understand the populations I serve. I approach behavioral therapy with a trauma-lense to provide clients an empathetic space for appropriate treatment.
