Hi, I'm Sheridan, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I'm so glad you're here! I know that reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, and my goal is to make the process feel as comfortable and approachable as possible. I believe healing happens through connection, self-understanding, and having a space where you don't have to carry everything on your own. I strive to create a warm and supportive space where you can explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and move toward change that feels aligned and authentic to who you are. I believe we as humans are meant for more than just "survival mode." While life can shape us in powerful ways, it does not have to define what is possible for us. We all deserve the chance to reconnect with ourselves, cultivate meaningful relationships, and build lives that feel intentional, fulfilling, and truly our own.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, you can expect things to feel relaxed and conversational. We'll spend time getting to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, important relationships, personal history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for whether I'm the right fit for you. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and never pressured to share more than you're ready to. By the end of our session, we'll begin identifying goals and discussing what moving forward together may look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is collaborative and tailored to each individual, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all path to growth and healing. I balance my approach to therapy with gentleness, but I will challenge you when needed, helping you recognize patterns, consider new perspectives, and move toward the changes you want to make. While therapy often involves difficult conversations, I also believe there is room for humor along the way. Sometimes a well-timed laugh can make hard moments feel a little more manageable and remind us that growth doesn't have to be heavy all the time.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with teens, young adults, and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, relationship challenges, life transitions, or uncertainty about who they are and what they need. They often appear to be managing on the outside while feeling stressed, exhausted, or lost on the inside. My clients are often seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, healthier relationships, greater confidence in navigating life's challenges, and practical tools to manage stress and emotions. They don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy—just a willingness to show up and begin the process.

My treatment methods

Narrative

Narrative therapy helps you step back from the problems you're facing and explore the stories you've developed about yourself over time. Together, we'll identify strengths, values, and experiences that support a fuller, more empowering understanding of who you are.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

We all have different parts of ourselves that show up in different situations—such as an inner critic, a people-pleasing side, or a part that wants to protect us from getting hurt. This approach helps us understand these different parts with curiosity and compassion so they can work together more effectively.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that meaningful change happens within a safe, supportive relationship. My role is to provide a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted while we work together toward your goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps us explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools to help you respond to challenges in a way that feels more balanced and effective.
