New to Grow
Hello, and welcome. I’m a licensed psychologist with experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy for anxiety, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, stress, burnout, and relationship difficulties. I work with adults from a wide range of backgrounds, including professionals, healthcare workers, and individuals navigating high-pressure or transitional periods in life. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and insight-oriented approaches to help clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can speak openly, gain clarity, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, collaborative working relationship. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges or patterns you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from treatment. I’ll also ask questions about your personal history, relationships, work or school stressors, emotional wellbeing, and any previous experiences with therapy. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and able to speak openly without judgment. You do not need to have everything “figured out” before starting therapy. The first session is simply a starting point for understanding your concerns and identifying meaningful goals together. By the end of the appointment, we’ll discuss initial impressions, possible treatment approaches, and next steps moving forward. I encourage clients to ask questions throughout the process so therapy feels collaborative, transparent, and tailored to their individual needs.
I aim to provide therapy that is both insightful and practical. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy with interpersonal and insight-oriented work to help clients better understand longstanding patterns while also developing concrete strategies for change. Sessions are collaborative, reflective, and focused on helping clients improve emotional resilience, self-awareness, relationships, and overall quality of life. Clients often appreciate that I can balance depth with structure. Therapy is not simply about venting or surface-level coping skills; it is about identifying meaningful patterns, understanding the underlying factors that maintain distress, and creating sustainable change over time. I also value authenticity and strive to create an environment where clients can think openly, speak honestly, and feel genuinely understood without judgment. My goal is to help clients function not only more effectively, but more intentionally and with greater clarity, balance, and fulfillment in their personal and professional lives.
I work best with adults who are thoughtful, motivated, and ready to engage meaningfully in the therapy process. Many of my clients are high-functioning professionals, healthcare workers, executives, creatives, graduate students, or individuals who appear successful outwardly but feel overwhelmed internally by stress, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, relationship difficulties, or unresolved emotional patterns. My clients are often insightful and self-aware, yet find themselves stuck in recurring cycles that impact their work, relationships, confidence, or overall sense of fulfillment. Some are navigating major life transitions, career pressures, high expectations, or the emotional cost of constantly “holding it together” for others. Others are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and want therapy that is reflective, collaborative, and growth-oriented rather than purely crisis-focused. I provide an integrative and evidence-based approach tailored to each individual’s goals and personality. Therapy may focus on improving emotional resilience, strengthening relationships, reducing anxiety and stress, processing difficult experiences, enhancing self-understanding, or building a more balanced and meaningful life. I tend to work best with clients who value insight, consistency, and personal growth, and who are looking for a therapist who can balance warmth, depth, and practical strategies. My style is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in creating a space where clients can speak openly, think clearly, and move toward lasting change.
