New to Grow
My name is Dr. Hannah Anokye, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over 7 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges through a compassionate, strengths-based, and eclectic approach that draws from a variety of evidence-based therapies to meet each person’s unique needs. My Christian faith shapes my values of compassion, hope, and respect for every individual, while always honoring each client’s own beliefs and preferences. I’m looking forward to working with you and creating a safe, supportive space where we can learn, grow, and heal together.
What we talk about is confidential, with a few legal exceptions. Those exceptions include situations where there is concern about your immediate safety or the safety of someone else, or if I’m required to share information by law. If anything like that ever comes up, I’ll talk with you about it whenever possible.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and holistic. I believe every person has inherent strengths and the capacity for growth, even during life’s most difficult seasons. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, values, culture, and goals. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I use an eclectic approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based Therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness techniques. This flexibility allows me to meet clients where they are and use the interventions that are most helpful for their specific circumstances. My Christian faith shapes my values of compassion, hope, integrity, and service. While I welcome clients of all backgrounds, beliefs, and faith traditions, I incorporate spiritual perspectives only when clients desire and find them meaningful. I respect each person’s beliefs and create a therapeutic environment that is inclusive, culturally responsive, and free of judgment. What sets me apart is my ability to combine clinical expertise with genuine empathy and practical problem-solving. I strive to build strong therapeutic relationships where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
As a Christian therapist, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and faith traditions. For those who desire it, I thoughtfully integrate Christian principles into therapy while always respecting each client’s beliefs, values, and treatment goals. I work best with clients who value collaboration, are open to self-reflection, and are willing to actively participate in the therapeutic process. Whether someone is seeking healing, clarity, resilience, or personal growth, my goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive, and empowering environment where they can thrive.
I identify as
Christian Counseling
My treatment approach is grounded in evidence-based clinical practice and informed by Christian values of compassion, grace, hope, and respect for the inherent dignity of every person. I use an eclectic approach, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences. My clinical methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based Therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and person-centered therapy. These approaches help clients develop healthier thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, strengthen coping skills, and build resilience.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to their challenges. Together, we explore negative thinking patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and practice practical coping skills that promote emotional well-being, resilience, and lasting positive change. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients process and recover from traumatic experiences by identifying and challenging unhelpful beliefs that developed after the trauma. Together, we examine how trauma has affected thoughts about safety, trust, control, self-esteem, and relationships, replacing these patterns with more balanced and realistic perspectives. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and paced according to each client’s readiness and treatment goals.
