Hello, my name is Santhiyaa, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters in Counseling from the University of Houston. I've been seeing clients for the past four years, and have worked with individuals from pre-teens to adults as they overcome obstacles, process trauma, and manage anxiety. I strongly believe in a collaborative approach and the value of having someone in your corner.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I'd like to get to know you and the struggles you would like to work on in our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I create a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel truly supported. I have worked with different demographics and find that feeling supported and understood empowers all clients on their journey toward growth and healing.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with driven individuals who want to make a change in their lives but struggle with progress. I am passionate about helping them overcome their obstacles and achieve their goals.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy is the foundation of my practice, as it allows me to truly support you through active listening, empathy, and deep understanding. Together, we will take a collaborative approach to explore your goals, the obstacles in your way, and work toward finding the best path to achieving them. My aim is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel empowered to discover your own strengths and solutions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For years, I have incorporated CBT principles into my work with clients, offering a practical and effective approach to understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This method helps us break down challenges and develop strategies for positive change in a clear, actionable way.
