In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session I let you take the lead. Starting therapy is no small feat and I want to acknowledge the strength that first step takes. Mental health can keep us down and make it hard to open to new people. I want to get an idea of who you are, where you come from, and where you would like to go in this life.

I like to take an approach of you as a part of your environment. We cannot expect change without acknowledging what has impacted you from the outside (or inside for some).

I work with adults in high-conflict relationships and help them manage emotions and patterns using CBT and DBT, with faith integrated if they want that. These relationships can include self, significant other(s), parents, children, school, or even a career. We are all seeking balance in life and I enjoy helping find that balance. Collectively, we can develop a plan to determining what that balance looks like and how to fill the gap for the best future self.
